I’ve been attempting to get a decent dubstep sound as of late, and during my exploration I found this video tutorial which I just have to share:
BTW – that bass sample in the NNXT patch he used was “Mini Bass” I believe – ironic, eh?
If you listen to my side project Kingz of Crunk (The song “Dub in da club”) you can hear it in action =P

Hey, sounds really good, however when i open up the Malstrom synth it comes up with the instrument ‘Vesper’ and that changes everything you said in the video, was jw if you could help? thanks
Jamie, when create your malstrom, select it and go to edit -> initialize patch

Hey man, it may just be my inexperience, but I can’t quite figure out at 4:16 how you got your bass samples into redrum. I got great sounds from the earlier part of the video, just can’t figure out how to use them. Any help would be awesome!
