|Winners of the Nebula Remix Composition Competition||Help me to Help you! – (NextUp competition voting is now open!)|
The prizes are 20,000 Euros (That’s almost £18,000) of funding and a creator camp to educate me on making better videos, along with promotion and backing from youtube themselves.
This is an INSANE opportunity, imagine how much cool stuff I could do for you guys with that kinda backing. I’ll let you know when you guys have to vote to help out.
This is my video entry to the YouTube NextUp program. The lyrics to the video are as follows:
with the money I’d win, I’d go to pro studios and improve my songs
I’d get them to teach me their ways and to show you the process, bring a camera along
Oh yes, but it’s not all about production. I’d check promotion methods and deconstruct them
Figure out what works with my band and tell you where the fans come from.
I’d explore other avenues of music, putting on live shows and make videos about it.
and other content like documentaries and interviews with artists
Make animations to teach production techniques, musical sketches for a bit of comedy
And videos of attractive women genuinely enjoying brutal dubstep music, which I guarantee would get you millions of views.
I’d employ someone to brush my hair, which at current takes up a good half of my day,
Buying prizes to run competitions for other musicians that are youtube-based.
And most of all I’d get everyone that helps me, producers, designers and animators
to make their own video explanations – and thus make more youtube educators
[End dubstep section, Bring on the DnB]
Okay that was fun, let’s pick up the pace and go for some Drum and Bass music to back my motivational second goal, which is to become a better content creator.
I am not sure of the scope of the Creator Camp,
but I love to learn and I’d love to grab
this experience with both hands to
squeeze out every bit of it I can,
just like if I ever found the annoying orange in real life.
I also hope to meet other YouTube content creators;
‘Cause content creators can be collaborators
looking at the videos from the NYC NextUp program
Those inspire serious thoughts of collabs
I want to learn to get better at video production
To get movie quality HD instruction
And make my videos flow as tight as my rhymes
So boasting aside let’s break out for real this time
[Bye Bye DnB, hello epic saw pad]
Lastly but not leastly my 3rd YouTube goal is to help other producers learn how to make professional quality music.
This is not simply my job – this is exactly what I want to do with my life. I want this and I’m available to do it – please give me the chance to help musicians all over the world to tap their full potential with the resources from the NextUp program.
Cheers, and have a nice day!
