Dem Channelz in the order they were said (forward, since this focus on temporal-ness requires clarification)
Hi! I’m Dave from boyinaband.com.
This week I’ve got something I’ve been so excited about showing you. I’ve collaborated with
Feint, one of my favourite Liquid DnB producers ever and Veela, one of my favourite vocalists
ever; you may remember her from her uncanny impression of me on April Fools day.
Some of you might have noticed that Veela, Myself and NoneLikeJoshua all swapped channels
that day, but you might not know that we agreed that we weren’t allowed to see how harsh the
videos were until they were public on our channel. So watching them back was a fun and
painful experience, kinda like those awesome old rollercoasters that have the harnesses slightly
too loose so your head smacks against the seat periodically.
Anyway, the track that Feint and I produced and Veela sang on is called “Time Bomb” and there
are two versions of it - first version, uploaded here on Monstercat Media, cheers to my
homeslices at monstercat for releasing it, and the next version over here on Veela’s channel,
which has me rapping on it as well.
So whether you enjoy my voice or think I’m an obnoxious sounding British egomaniac, you can
still enjoy the track.
Links to both of those in the description too if you’re on your mobile.
It was so much fun producing with Feint, really nice guy from England *cut to me thumbs up by
the flag* and I’ve listened to tons of his tracks and I suggest you do too if you’re a fan of gorgeous
chilled or uplifting Drum and Bass. His channel’s over here.
Then I’ve wanted to make a track with Veela for frickin’ ages, and not just because I’m jealous of
the purple-ness of her hair. *cut to her* *cut to me* *zoom to her hair* *cut to me shaking my
fist* She’s a Canadian *cut to me thumbs up by the flag* singer and producer who does loads of
vocal parts for electronic music and makes her own costumes for cosplays of characters from
games that she sings about. What a frickin’ geek. Anyway, we actually have another
collaboration on the… horizon… that I’m so excited about and hopefully any of you guys that like
the tracks I make involving this *cuts to me with my guitar* will like too.
I’ve gotta give a huge shout-out to MaryDoodles, so here goes - MARYDOODLES! - you might
have heard of her, she’s the chick that does the costumes and artwork for the frickin’ Epic Rap
Battles of History - one of my favourite series’ on YouTube. She has her own channel where
she does incredible time lapse artwork and this week she used Time Bomb as the
accompanying music to inspire a terrifically temporally tantalising tvideo in which she goes back
and forward through time with her drawings, you’ve gotta see it. Boom - link here and in the
For all you producer-y guys and/or girls, some of you might remember I asked if any
programmers wanted to help out with developing new features for the site - and thanks to one of
those guys, my homeslice Aaron, whose face I have put on an armadillo here for no reason, now
we have our first super exciting new feature! Yay! Let’s celebrate with pie. *gets phone, magic
Now on the Share Your Music section of the forum where we share critiques, the people who
have given the most critiques are now featured on the front page of the site, so it’s easy to see
which people deserve to be helped themselves. Okay, it might not be a hugely exciting thing to
all of you but this is the closest I’ve got to fighting injustice in a while. And since I’m feeling
particularly like a superhero, I’ll critique all the featured posts tomorrow - go on the forum and
critique a bunch of tracks if you want me to give your song a listen!
So much for you guys to check out this week, oh, before I go - I made a new T-Shirt design that,
if all goes to plan, you will appreciate but none of your friends will understand! It’s up in the
boyinaband store now, link below.
Hope you enjoy the track - cheers for watching, and have a nice day!
