Here are all the frequently asked questions that I get asked… frequently.

- What’s a Vlog?

A Video Blog. A website that provides the majority of its content in a video format. I’m quite intent that the Internet will take over where TV left off so I wanted to emphasise that I’m running a video-centric website!

- Why “Boy in a band”?

Well I’m a Boy and I’m in a Band. It’s a catchy name and while it has little to do with Reason 4 Tutorials (except for the fact that in my particular band I use Reason 4 for the majority of the electronics), it does invite people to be curious enough to check out my band.

- Where are your sample packs?

- How do I open your sample packs?

- What’s up with your voice?

I’m English.

- Will you critique my track?

I’d love to be able to listen to all the music these tutorials inspire but unfortunately I don’t have the time to sift through thousands of e-mails. That’s why I set up the boyinaband.com forum – where you can put your tracks and get opinions from other producers! (Just remember to give some opinions of your own on other people’s productions too!)

- Stop saying that your tutorials are [insert genre] when they’re clearly [insert different, more obscure genre]!

Firstly, that’s not a question. Secondly, maybe you should make your own tutorials if you’re not happy with how I’m presenting mine.

- Will you make a tutorial for [insert song/synth/genre]?

- OMG u want me 2 pay???// Your a terrible person! I hope u die!

I, like many human beings, require food and shelter to function. This website also requires feeding in the form of money and time. If you can tell me your secret to sustenance-less survival, I’d be glad to consider your request.

- I have some ideas for content, will you make them?

As above, I’m too busy to do requests, but if you’d like to send me an e-mail with your ideas, go right ahead!

- I ‘m ensnared by the spirit of giving! I want to help out; what can I do?

Wow, ensnared – that’s a frickin’ cool word! Anyway, there are a few things you can do.

Firstly, anyone can donate to the cause, which all helps!

Then there’s promotion – telling your friends who might be interested, posting my tutorials on other electronic music forums (make sure you stay long enough to say something witty back to the people who will inevitably make fun of my accent) and getting involved on YouTube (rating and commenting each video and subscribing to the channel all helps!).
