Well I guess saying that is like saying I don't like EDM because they don't use supersaws, pluck sounds or saw basses creatively enough. Rock and metal sounds mostly the same because Guitar, bass, drums, vocalist. They can get creative with it, and that spawns good music a lot of the time, but EDM also conforms to high pitched leads, repetitive drum patterns, emotional pads and dance-able basses... In both cases if you want to find something different from what everything sounds like, go for the lesser known stuff as the mainstream generally all follows one straight path..

Have you guys ever considered that your hate for music is nothing but a negative to the reason why "normal" people hate your favorite music? And how your music taste annoys them as much as pop music annoys you? I think it's very hypocritical to ask such a question as "will music ever be saved?" while everyone's listening to their crappy shit. The only right way to save music is to get rid of it all and live in a world without music, if there's no way to compromise.
