That definitely happens to me. I seem to always be somewhere else, doing something else when the best ideas come to me. When I can finally get somewhere where I can lay my ideas down the idea is gone from memory and lost forever.

Start carrying around noteblocks, or something, to write down the ideas.
This will be a great idea because:
1. You practice your imagination
2. Your imagination will with time be more ellaborative, and defined.
3. people with noteblocks, are cool.
4- ?????
5. Profit.

Lol I started keeping a notebook for lyric ideas, but you can't really write down "PEEEW WOPWOPWOPWOP GRAWWWUPWUP ZOOM ZOOM" and remember exactly how it sounded when you get back home :P

that's like 4 hours earlier than me. You're one of the lucky ones. Sometimes I just stare at my DAW and program drums for hours on end untill I (here's what I recently did lolz) stumbled uppon some 808s and 909s and fucking ripped the Post Dubstep scene.

But, we're not all Skrillex and dishing out the same resampled, bitcrushed basses over and over again. I'd like to have diversity in my tunes.

PS I also program growls in my spare time and resample reeses and monster basses. Yay me.
