Use FL studio without patterns

on the sequencer at the top where it says the pattern number click the down arrow then click "rename/color". This will rename that pattern and the new name will appear on the little bar above the pattern on the playlist.

If you do "make unique" then it will shift all patterns up a number but the names wont be changed so everything stays all nice and neat :)

Also cut tool (shortcut "c"), that helps :P

P.S. I totally missed that this was solved. Go no sleep, yay!
