Re-make this video?

Postby GyuJazz » Wed Aug 03, 2011 6:29 pm

Hey yall!
Recently I tried to make an instructional video myself, but I have to say I have no skills in performing. The video turned out to be boring to watch. Heck, even I couldn't watch it twice :D But I feel I wanted to share this subject with everyone, since this takes the production closer to science (which is always fun to learn).

So my suggestion is: would someone be interested (maybe Dave?) in re-making this tutorial?

i don't really get the point of this. (Maybe i overlooked it since i stopped watching after a while) What's the use of resonant frequencies in production?

Yeah, after about half-way I made some experiments with Reason interface that explains the resonant frequencies and shows the link in music production. Although I can't blame you for not bearing to watch it all the way (as I said, I'm no video-person), it does explain the science in music production. It's mostly for those who like to learn the heavy stuff behind audio engineering, but some people who only wish to run through production phase without wanting to think deeper might find this very unnecessary video to watch.

I don't mean to offend anyone with my comment.

And of course for those who understand the point of the video I'd really like to raise a small topic over it, thoughts of the importance of the video and techniques used to demonstrate the science.
