really like the chords, if you are looking for a break, why not use that fill at 1:28?

very good track, I can definetly say that I can't hear any 'duck' in that lead!

can't wait for the finished version! :)

Lolducksynth. :P

This doesn't really sound like a drum n bass remix, more like an 8-bit remix with drum n bass drums over the top. Were you going for the empty 8-bit sort of style? If so, it's good. If not... :ugeek:

Drums are good but if you want to change them around, by all means. Just know that if you don't come up with anything new, you still have your old drums to fall back on.
A musician who can't take criticism will get NOWHERE.

Not to sound like douchebag artist but it's kind of my thing to combine kinda fakebit synths with some more refined sound (and it also uses all the genre trait for the writing e.g. fast and frantic). Think its best shown of in this track: http://soundcloud.com/dinokidofficial/frostbite-dino-kid-remix (which is also the one in my sig :P)

i think the drums could do with a few more hats going on and some ghost snares maybe.

in the section aroud 1:34 i think one or 2 of the bassier notes sound a little off, might be worth looking into

I dont think the synth is too ducky - maybe try doing some ring modulation or amplitude modulation to give it a bit of grit - make it sound like a little dino, or a 'dino kid' if you will ;)

the drum fills you arleady have are excellent just get more!

i think the lead synth is a little static, could do with some automation and maybe a chorus to widen it a little. sounds a little dry as it is.

should be a really good track when you have finished the things you mentioned.

The only criticism i can give that you haven't given yourself is the title of this thread, It's not really DnB, Not sure what it is, but it's not that. Other than that, I enjoyed it, nicely done

I think the "it's not DnB" comments revolve around the fact that you don't really have that noticeable a bass line. Put something gritty in the low to mid range and that sound really fill out the track and lift it up.

Other than that, I just really want the actual vocals in here. I'd take it to clubs if they were in there.

Yeah I don't know where I can find a dry set of the vocals though, I guess i can try to mix them out but I definitely wanna have a go at adding some here and there
