ReSet wrote:Well, once the deadline was reached, I was gonna send copies of the tracks to the panel, so they could write their own notes about each entry, then we could discuss them over msn, skype or whatever, and come up with some kind of order. Sorry, I should have made that clearer. Numberjack, do you want to continue with your entry, or join the panel? Either is fine, we still have myself and D&K judging...

So far I have entries from:
Jz
Numberjack
CHNK
Pokey
Mizuki's Last Chance
Kevin Sanders
Bias
ArchdemonXIII
Vikt0r
KnightSansArmour
Toxic Energy

I think I'll sit this one out and go for the judging... cheers.... PM me when you get things rolling.....

Is this the brostep competition your talking about :P.

Haha, it is, but brostep just isn't my thing productionwise so I'm dropping out of that.

So is there still a chance of a release on Housefly records for the winner? What's happening with this? I am just about to send my track too so let me know if nothing has arrived by the deadline.

I'm beginning to hate soundcloud. It has added an annoying high pitched noise to my sub and has done the same to quite a few other people. Please ignore it as much as you can.

Cheers alex, got your entry. I couldn't hear anything high pitched about the sub at 3.15, do you mean the kind of 'high-passed' sound at 0.59?

Haha nah the high-passed bit is meant to be there ;). That's alright then if you couldn't hear anything haha. When I listen to it it adds a quiet high-pitched almost crackly noise (can't explain it) :S , it might actually be quite hard to notice but if you haven't heard it at all it should be OK. Cheers :D.

I got the same man, it's annoying as hell. It adds a click to my kick sometimes when only the sub and kick are heard, and I've got absolutely no idea what causes this. I'm thinking it might be my dithering that fucks up, as they probably convert the song before it's uploaded?

I've never had this problem, but I only ever bounce down the finish track to 16 bits with dithering to a .wav and a .mp3 for uploading :S I can't hear it on any of your tracks, though.

I think we're happy to try and get the winning track released on the Label... but you guys know how we work and that we only release E.P's.... so.... we'd be happy to work with the winner to try and get an E.P together for a release....

of course you've got the other side of things that there might be four or five tracks worth the release in the entries so we could release them in order of how they ranked.... BUT... that doesn't make winning that special does it?

anyway I'm sure we'll figure something out....
