Just hook up whatever sound you want to view and EQ into the combi inputs, and the output into the mixer/hardware output or whatever. The Sound will then go from your device into the EQ, which is split into the combi output and the vocoder(/spectrum analyser). Now, when you EQ, the changes to the sounds frequencies will be evident on the Vocoder, with bass freqs on the left and high's on the right. Unfortunately, it's not as accurate as some external plugins, and doesn't have frequency bands on the visualiser, but it's as close as you'll get in reason, I believe.

Hehe, I just did something similar without knowing there is already one here. It's using the same approach but it will show left / right / mono mixdown in seperate vocoders. I've also programmed some of the combinator buttons to change some of the params like decay and attack to be able to change the view on the eq a little. I'm using my version as a effect send in record so I don't need to wire something to analyze it, I'll just hit the send button in the main mixer.

Just found this link:

Seems somewhat better to me becuase you have the frequencies displayed, otherwise you have to check a list to see which bar is wich frequency =)
