Combinator Patch: Vocal Timeshifter

Postby Ozdorp » Wed Apr 27, 2011 11:52 am

You can pitch shift samples with this patch, that is, changing the pitch of a sample without affecting it's playback speed.
It is a little noisy though..
White noise is modulated by the sample, i think it can be called "Granulizing".

Load up a sample in the NN-XT and turn the knobs on the Combinator to hear the effect =) Not very baffling.
You can also load up or make your own sound in the subtractor to get a robot like voice (if the sample is a vocal).
After that, you can also connect a matrix to the subtractor to get a sort of autotune-effect.

I got this from someone else a long time ago (i don't know where i got it anymore),
but i tweaked it a little bit for own use.

EDIT: I found a little bug, you should put the decay, sustain and release of the subtractor to full, otherwise long samples will be lowered in volume over time!
