this is gonna be a brief tutorial as im no good at explaining things
i used 3 different basslines in this not only automating the lfo but the lfo waveshapes aswell which is very effective
all three basslines are made in reason using thor
Formant bassline
2 multi ocilators one set at interval and the other set at random detune both slightly and drop 2 octaves
1 analogue oscilator set to a sine wave and drop 4 to give that sub bass
route to a low pass filter with freq at 3/4 and res at 1/4 envelope at zero
route to filter 2 which you want to be a formant filter ser the gender to zero and the x and y axis in the middle
activate lfo 1 and route to filter 1 freq and filter 2 x and y feel free to play around with the waveshape to get a wobble your happy with i automate between them in this track
i also added some distortion, set to tape damage control just under half p1 up full and p2 down all theway body set to E.
i also added some eq and compression
Datsik style bassline
two wavetable osc one set to synced sine and the other ppg 5 high harm drop 2 octaves
one analouge drop 4 octaves set to sine to add that sub route to low pass filter freq 3/4 and res 1/4
turn on shaper and set it to wrap
now route to comb filter freq 175 hz and res at 0
route lfo to both filter freq
iv also added some eq and compression
Rising bassline
2 analouge osc drop 1st down and oct and set to square turn the pwm all the way up the second one drop 4 octaves and set to sine
add a multi osc set to interval and drop an octave
route to a state variable filter turning the freq to 248 and the res to 33
route to a low pass filter freq 317 and res 99
route to a comb set freq 224 and res 26
set lfo 1 to 4/4 tempo sync and route to filter 1 freq and filter 2 freq do the same with lfo 2 but route it through the amp imput set lfo to 1/16 but also play around with the automation
