I gotta agree with rune here, but i DO get that they do not want to compromise the uniqueness of the reason concept by pursuing the same workflow and general operation of the other, more standard DAWs. Reason has always been stepping away from the convention yet being closely relatable by the old-timers, since all the devices are really just software imitations of the hardware they are used to, and the patching workflow is similar too. However, as they have not done a very good job with these (or at least not all of them), they could make room for improvement, which i guess is possible with the rack extensions, but that kinda fluked for me, as they seem terribly overpriced to me (reason already is a very expensive DAW as it is).
So that, stability, and actual integration possibility are the only reasons (no pun intended) i can think of.
