Anyone know where to buy cheap samples?

Postby p-vision » Mon Mar 12, 2012 10:33 pm

I need some cheap sample packs but they only need to be small and (more importantly) less than a £5 - i realise this may be a stretch...

if anyone has any suggestions for decent sites let me know, I have looked about but there's loads of poor samples that you need to search through so i just thought i'd try and make it easier on myself.

I'm mainly interested in getting some Vocal samples (preferably dub/reggae vocals) and some beat samples, plus some fx :D
Oh and preferably in Rex format, but i can always use recycle...

Thanks :D
All advice is welcome :D Peace

the reason of buying sample packs is to get better quality. there is a shitload of free material on the webz, so if you aint got money, why dont you just use free samples, learn to tweak them and get some quality stuff once u can afford?

you don't want "cheap" samples... really. There's a great range of free ragga acapellas on the web- google helped me find some stuff I still use after 2 years (for vocal chops etc)

I found a file with loads of clips from old ragga tunes, they're not long but you have cool phrases you can include in your production...

I don't know about vocal samples but I downloaded a Prime Loops dubstep drums pack. Significantly increased the bad assery of my attempts at dubstep drums.
The loops are neat n all, too but I use the single hit samples, personally.
Anyway if the drums were this good, i'd be interested to see if their vocal samples uphold the same quality.
