My name is Bill Kucera aka Saigon Shredder. I am the Rhythm/Lead guitarist for my EDM Project/band "The Psychotron Jihad". I have been listening to EDM music since december of 2011 so i really am completely noob to dubstep and whatever else these kids call it.
I am 38 years old and began playing guitar when I was 13-14 years old back in 87'-88'. I listened to Slayer (which I still do), Metallica (pre 1990's), Death Angel, Sepultura, Megadeth, Led Zeppelin and Randy Rhoads. The only guitar music I like nowadays is TOMMY EMMANUEL. if you don't know him, you should, imo.
I discovered this "dubstep" back in december when some guy friend requested me on facebook, which I accepted. Next thing he does is invites me to his little "FB group" called Musical Fr33dom. I'm thinking, what the hell is this shit. Someone always inviting me into something I probably don't want to bother with you know? Well I check out his group and I notice in the description that it's about EDM, which gets me intrigued slightly. I scroll through some posts and come across EXCISION Shambhala 2011 Remix on youtube. Holy-mother-of-all-things-that-are-frickin'-awesome!!!! I was immediately hooked deep in the jaw as the robot voices were pounding through and It's as if someone teleported me back in time when I was 8 years old watching Star Wars, playing with my transformers and Voltron figures. So yeah, I love dubstep.
Last month a new friend of mine recommended FL Studio so I gave it a shot. I had no clue what this software was or how it operated, but I quickly learned! So I've been writing my own "Electronic" music, incorporating the robot sounds since. I love it! I've been inspired in writing more "Electronic" songs than what I've done over the past year and a half with my guitar. Okay enough rambling. Thanks!
I'm Nick and I produce under the name Dam Class. I'm 17, I've had my path set on music for years. I started playing guitar 7-odd years ago, as I'd been really interested in sort of folk-rock and bluesy music. Which I still am, but at some point I heard one Bar 9 track and I've been hooked on EDM and bass music ever since. So for the last year or so I've focused on learning the ways of production and whatnot. In the fall I'm going off to college for recording and engineering.
If anyone's interested they can check out my soundcloud here: http://soundcloud.com/dam-class. But since I enjoy giving production advice nearly as much as I like forcing others to listen to my music, I figured I'd lurk around the sharing forums for a while offering advice before I subject other people to similar torture.
So yeah, that's about it. Figured I'd formally introduce myself, as I want to stick around here for a while.
My name is Mike and Ive been producing for a few years now, started out as a hobbie but its getting a bit serious lately. I started out making hiphop and entering beat battles etc, then changed to Funky house and now am loving Complextro/Dubstep..
Favorite musical genre: TO MANY, but to name ones from the top of the list I'll start with Industrial, Dark EBM, Complextro, PsyTrance, Goa, Hardcore... it just go's on and on, Mainly I love anything hard and driving.
Projects: I do not have anything set in stone, I just make music in my free time as a hobby, It has been a dream of mine to become a DJ and attempt at making some kind of impact in the electronic music community. I'm currently trying to save up some cash to buy some gear to learn how to use that. I guess if I ever reach my goals and ambitions I'll go under the name of DJ Zylon or just Zylon since I kinda find the title DJ to be a little cliche now.
Random gangstuh phrase: Time to sweat some bass kicks >:D
Name: Amado (but everyone calls me Fonzie! ) Age: 23 Favourite musical genre(s): Dubstep, Grime and Bass Music along with Hip Hop and Dance music. Band/Project(s): I don't have any yet, but once I get my studio running that'll be called Perflection studios, I'll be doing some hip hop and dubstep with probably a mix of metal with my friends and I was thinking of making a new music style called Solid Steel. :3 Random gangstuh phrase: Right in, bustah!
