Spacewalk [Dubstep/Dub]

Update: Now it's finished!
http://soundcloud.com/confusion-grows/confusion-grows-spacewalk

I've decided I'm going to finish this one because I've been enjoying it so much. This is my first dubstep track and one of the first times I've used a very heavily swung rhythm, and I'm going for a very dub/reggae sound, employing a ton of delay and reverb for that big echoey feel. It also utilises the spacey lead from my previous track Helios, but this time that's into the swing too.

As always, feedback on any aspect of the track is always useful and appreciated.

this is really awesome dude. I love how the bass is subtle, but prominent enough beneath the mix to give it a hallowing sort of feel, a sense of unease. I really have no gripes with the mix, it's well layered, and everything is perfectly in place. I personally would saturate the atmosphere a bit more (but that's mainly because I like everything to be dense as shit lol). With the spacey lead would be kind of cool if you for a bit of variation lead the melody up an octave or two during like the end of a phrase to maybe make it a bit more exciting. Your hats sound great, but I feel if you processed them just a tad more they'd sound less "straight out of a sample pack."

Also, as a drummer, you should make a few of your patterns have a bit more dynamic feel, like make the kick and snare offbeat hits that land before the big hits on the main pulse a bit softer to give the groove more, I don't know, feeling? It's really hard to explain :/

That said, this track is really boss, and probably the best thing I've heard on here all week. I hope my nonsensical comments help even a little, and I can't wait to hear this when it's finished! :)

yes it is indeed awesome! great groove, nodded my head all the time.
I like the hats as they are... just do some the variations on the melody and the beat

Awesome, love it! :D No complaints other than a bit of variation would be good, but this is still a WIP.

Like I said in the chat, I really love this one! Most has been said already, great groove (and to be quite fair I don't think much more variation is needed - only thing I could think of is maybe do a little hihat roll or so every now and then) but like someone said, the hats could use a tiny bit of processing. What I personally would do is bring down the volume just a tiny tiny bit, highpass them a little and maybe add a slight room reverb.
Pad sounds great too, I wish I could manage to pull those off too.
Melody is awesome and catchy, and the sound even more so - I get where you're going with the spacewalk name. Only thing I can think of is that in the last part of the track (where the lead goes up) you could probably introduce another synth/instrument (a small and not very prominent one) to add to the atmosphere.
I still have a little small issue with the chords synth though. This is just a matter of taste though, so take it with a grain of salt, but I'd try decreasing the decay a bit, or switching reverb type.

Now I really had to analyze to come up with (what I hope is) something constructive, because this is really really great. I hope you'll do more headnodding tracks like this in the future :)

track has a lot of swag...think i can even here some garage in there. it's good that the beat is minimal and to the point. sometimes simplicity is just better. good stuff!

I Love it! awesome track.
I have been like moving all the time while listening to your song. must be a good thing.
My only suggestion is maybe a bit more variation!

yeah very nice feel to the track... loving the breaks the laid back spacey synth is really good although a little happy for personal taste.
although im not very up to date on mastering and how things should sound.... this seems to be just right i can hear all the effects synths and breaks clear and crisp... and perfect volume great work.

I always like some live drums. It's a LONG SHOT but right off the bat I hear a "temple of time" kinda thing, but it's really just those two notes haha, I tend to draw odd parallels between songs. Moving on, everything jives really nice. Crystal clear drums. It'd be nice to hear maybe another melody come in, but it sounds like the arrangement is done for the most part.
