Anteara wrote:@Vince, I like it, there are some parts where the timing sounds off a bit though. But it's great for a first attempt. I'm in the same boat as you (new producer) so hopefully someone will be able to further critique your first piece. It does have an awesome emotional feel to it though, in my opinion, which is awesome.

Here is my second song I've made, and first song made in Ableton. It's based off the windmill song from Zelda. As the title says, its around 50% done in my opinion...
There are some timing and peaking issues I've noticed.

I'm a fan of the windmill song. I think you used the melodies well. The synths also sounded good. It definitely lacks a high end. I would high pass a drum loop with an interesting high end and have it playing over most of it or at the least add some hi hat samples. The sample of the yelling before the first drop would sound better in the song imo if you added some reverb to it and maybe add a white noise sweep or something with it. The drums samples could maybe a bit cleaner also. But overall Its petty good especially for your second song.

Here is a song I almost have done. I have been listening to it for a while now with out a break so I would like some second opinions on it. I plan to add a bit more drum variation and some fx and fills. Tell me what you think please.

Natz I like the strings, they sound good but I think some panning would help them sound big. The drums are pretty weak right now but thats a side effect of most WIPs. The bass is really quiet, have you got a good sub on there? What I can hear of it sounds good its just really quiet.
Here is a WIP of my TF2 remix, its kinda short because the original is. Almost done, just some mixing work, as always :P

Don't mean to be a stickler for the rules... but this is on the first page and no one is giving feedback.

So, I've been experiencing some writers block, I need ideas so I can add to my track, and some critiquing would also be appreciated. :) The writers block song will be in the embedded soundcloud player below.
