NERVO - We're All No One (Jack Host Remix) [House Electro]

Postby JACK HOST » Tue Jun 19, 2012 11:25 pm

Hi guys. Ive been around for more than a year now. I really like this forum. Respectful people that have a good taste in music. Interestening advises and discutions too.

I just made a remix of the Nervo song : We're All No One. I really liked that song at first because of that house style influenced by rock and progressive music. So right when the acapella was available on the net, I decided to do a remix.

New version :

Thanks to Dave, I'm a really big fan and I don't think I would have been able to make a track like this without his tutorials. All his advices with reason, thor, eq, mix, Ive been thru 5 or 6 7daysongtutorials, all that stuff were incredibly helpful. THANKS DAVE YOU ARE THE MAN !!!!

Let me know what you think of the remix! thanks.

I love the intro, it's nice and slow and then speeds up towards the drop, and the vocals are mixed in really well!
My only criticism is that the lead is a bit too loud in the chorus and probably needs to be brought down a little as it's drowning everything else out. Perhaps a highpassed version of this synth on the top too just to add to the frequency spectrum?

I have a disagreeing opinion on the vocals with the dude above me. I think there is a ton in that frequency and starts to get really washed. However, I do agree that the lead is a bit loud. And overall maybe just bring up or even add to the low end. It just seems pretty mid and up as far as frequencies.

The intro is really good. You use FX good, reverb, and the piano really suits into there, but it feels like the sidedchained lead is taking over. Also I feel like the drums are getting drowned and needs to get boosted up a bit. Maybe just another sample would make it stand out more? Anyway, good job, really like it :6:

Nice piano. Good use of the vocal stems. The drum pattern fits the mood pretty well. The "drop" is kind of boring, maybe work on that a bit. Maybe choose a more interesting synth for it?
Other than the drop it's pretty good man.

Just moving some of the crashes around and mixing some of those leads a bit more would make it that much better :p

Awesome stuff man! I love the bigroom feel you have, The vocals fit very well in the mix. The cymbals in the drop are a bit dry though, I would personally use an EQ to brighten up the highs or use different samples, but thats more personal preference. Also at about 2:05 where the piano comes in, if you took a sample of the chord that comes in there and then added some reverb with a bit of a tail, then reversed it right before the piano came in it would "blend" the piano in nicely, again, thats more personal preference though. I really really like the track! I favorited it on soundcloud, nice work!
