  1. Dave, this stuff is great! Even though I use Sonar 8.5 as my primary and not Reason, I’m gleaning a lot of useful tips.

Just a thought, but have you considered doing a Breakbeat 7-day song? After listening to multiple genres of electronic music, I think my ear naturally trends toward Breakbeat, and I’d love to get some tips on it.

  2. hi, how you make one song for swanky tunes and hard rock cafe?

  3. Hi, I like your seven day tutorials. I do drum n bass too. My questions is, how to do technoid dnb ala Current Value? I’d like to do monstrous growl reese, deep nerve-shaking sub, evil blip bass! Do you have any tips or showing me in a 7 day tutorial? Thanks in advance!

  4. hey dave, thanks… these vids are very helpful… i was wondering if you would be able to make any 7 day vids on making swedish house… something using techniques of swedish house mafia, alesso, avicii, etc…

    thanks

  5. Love the wicked vid’s, I started producing d’n'b and these are a great help and have learnt a lot from these… I DJ d’n'b but also mix UK garage and was wondering if you could give some advice on creating either old skool 2step beats or 4×4????

Cheers Dave Keep Up The Good Work :D

  6. HEY DAVE! I just stumbled across your website on google. Havnt checked out the tutorials yet but just by seeing how much time/effort and details has gone into this project i can tell its going to be some great stuff. Its people like you who keep people with questions coming back and learning and evolving so i just wanted to say well done and great work! Keep it up!

  7. Respect…i have been getting into production for about a year now and although i had the general idea i just couldnt get quite the right sound and i have learned a few useful tips from ya trance, dnb an hardstyle vids.
if ya could do a tutorial on creating a freeform track, as there are a few things i need to tighten up and i would really appreciate your help.
keep up the good work i think this is a good thing for up and coming producers to get pointed in the right direction
    nice one

  8. I have been watching most of your video tutorials on how to make several types of music during the past couple of days and I must say you have taught me a lot of new things I didn’t even think were possible. However, if you have the chance to do so, could you possibly make a 7 day song tutorial on how to make Tekno? I can’t seem to find any good tutorials around anywhere on the internet.

    Keep it up!

  9. Man Dave your tutorials are sick. Big Up. Would be nice if you could make a 7 day tutorial how to make trash electro like pellussje haezer fool or belzebass. Would be really nice dude. Grtz straight out of the alps

  10. Awesome tutorials. Nice humor too. Can I request one for bear trap by excision? I’m in love with that hard kick/bass hit throughout the song.

  11. Thanks a lot Dave! This is really what I have been looking for!

  12. [...] Boy in a Band 7 Day Tutorials – watched through the electrohouse tutorial, tried to replicate some of it on my own, but he uses Reason and some of his synths/effects didn’t correspond to Ableton. Got kind of lost at that point. [...]
